What's new at VéloCore: the mobile app, Montagne and a boosted cockpit
VéloCore has been busy these past few weeks. Between the arrival of the mobile app, a brand-new space dedicated to the mountains and a more complete cockpit, here's the roundup of the news that makes your rides simpler, safer and more fun.
The mobile app is coming to Android and iOS
VéloCore was already on the web. Soon it will also be a true native app in your pocket, on Android and iOS. A single account syncs everything: draw a route on the web, it shows up in the app, and the other way around. On the bars, the app displays a real-time cockpit (speed, distance, elevation, heart rate, power) and guides you turn by turn, even when the signal drops. The app is landing very soon on Google Play and the App Store: keep an eye on the download page to know the moment it launches.
VéloCore Montagne: MTB trails, massif by massif
The big new thing right now: a map dedicated to the mountains. Pick a massif and discover its trails sorted by type (MTB, e-MTB, enduro, downhill, link, cross-country) and by difficulty, with the points of interest that matter at altitude: peaks, passes, viewpoints and shelters. The detail that changes everything, the mountain weather shows at the center of the massif (feels-like temperature, wind, rain risk) so you can decide at a glance whether it's the right day to climb. Explore it now on VéloCore Montagne.
A cockpit that talks to your sensors
The cockpit runs deeper. Connect your Bluetooth sensors (heart-rate strap, power, cadence and speed sensors) and get all your metrics in one place, readable in full sun. At the end of the ride, export as FIT, GPX or TCX to stay compatible with your usual bike computers and platforms. Advanced metrics like power and heart rate are built to help you progress ride after ride. To choose the track that fits your riding, our guide on choosing your route profile covers the ground.
An even livelier community
Riding together stays the essence of VéloCore, and the community tools have grown:
- Challenge Arena: create challenge segments, beat the records and climb the leaderboard.
- L'Échappée: a community wall and messaging to share your best rides and chat live.
- Community spots: panoramas, legendary descents and hidden corners scouted by riders.
- Ride calls: organize a public or invite-only outing, everyone RSVPs.
Still free to start
It all starts for free: GPS cockpit, planner, GPX export, community and geolocated SOS are available from sign-up. To go further, Premium adds 3D and offline maps, the Challenge Arena, fall detection and advanced metrics, with a 14-day free trial. You'll find the details on the Features page.
