It's official: the VéloCore app is live on Google Play, almost everywhere in the world. Months of development, hundreds of versions tested on the road, and one fixed idea: putting the planner, the cockpit, the community and safety in your pocket. Here's the full tour, in detail.

The VéloCore app is free, downloads from Google Play and connects to your existing web account, the same login everywhere. A cockpit that thinks for you
The heart of the app is the cockpit. Launch a route and let it guide you: announcements arrive at the right moment, computed from your actual pace rather than a fixed distance. At 15 or 35 km/h, the information always lands when it should. Miss a junction? The app detects it and tells you calmly. Leaving the track on purpose for a café or a shortcut? The free detour draws a dotted path back to your route, with no looping "make a U-turn". And when the light fades, the display switches to night mode by itself. Underneath it all, a smooth vector map that stays readable from full sun to forest shade.
Sensors, watch and offline
The cockpit comes with the full connected-cyclist toolkit. Your Bluetooth sensors (heart rate, power, cadence) display live during the ride. No power meter? The app estimates virtual power from speed, gradient and your build, enough to analyze your rides (NP, TSS, best efforts, estimated FTP) without spending a cent. The app's Mountain space picks up where the website leaves off: an explorer that flips between list and map, trail cards with an elevation profile and points of interest kilometer by kilometer, and the weather shown at two altitudes, valley and summit, because in the mountains those are often two different worlds. Plan on the big screen, ride on the phone
The app ships with full parity with the web planner: the same points-of-interest layers (13 families), the same "Via here", the same loop generator offering several candidates by distance and mood, the same universal search that finds a place, a spot or one of your own routes. Special mention for the "e-bike optimized" profile, which automatically places charging stops based on your e-bike's range, and for the official itineraries (EuroVelo, node networks) ready to follow. The whole social side lives in the app. Ride calls: propose an outing, cap the seats if you want, the waiting list automatically promotes the next in line when someone drops out, and recurring rides recreate themselves, with a reminder the day before. Full messaging: conversations, groups, discreet differentiated sounds, read receipts. Photo spots: the most beautiful places shared by the community, full screen, with likes and the Spot of the week. The ride wall gathers kudos, comments and stories, and VéloMatch finds you partners who ride like you. And as always: safety first
The community SOS works on three levels: flag a hazard on the road, ask for assistance (flat tire, mechanical), or trigger the emergency alert that notifies nearby cyclists and your contacts with your precise position. Fall detection watches over you while you ride and triggers the alert when needed, and an optional emergency audio channel keeps you in touch while help is coming. Your online status stays under your control, visible only if you enable it. And sharing your rides is always a choice, never a default.
